As you probably have noticed, Nature has fixed few rules that cannot be altered. The need to eat is one of them and deserve to be embraced. Good quality meals may be one of the most ubiquitous Artistic challenge that we face several times a day.

The purpose of this page is to share my experience about great places around the World where this Art may be enjoyed to its utmost.

El Caramano, Santiago, Chile -- November 30, 2007:This restaurant is located in the Bellavista part of Santiago. This district is know for its active and entertaining night life. El Caramano is a gem in the middle of this tresor. After a pisco sour (very typical chilian drink) a conger made his way to me. All its natural savour were kept by being cooked in an alluminium foil. This is a must! Frankly speaking, I always been reluctant in using garlic with fat fishes (such as conger and salmon), but this meal made me revise my habits. We feel like obliged to write down our impressions and other philosophical sentence that will solve World problems on the wall.


Pastis, Cannes, France -- November 16, 2007: A charming restaurant at the heart of Cannes. Farcis à la niçoise is a typical first course from this region (stuffed vegetables). A daube niçoise is a natural follower (beef and its red wined-based sauce). The wine-menu of this restaurant is amazing. Few words with the region first. Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat are two islands located in front of Cannes (îles de Lerins). The second one is populated by monks since the 4th Century. They have been producing wine and liqueurs since the 19th Century. Abbaye de Lerins is the name of the wine produced in Saint-Honorat. The red cuvée Saint Sauveur from 2005 is exceptional. It was awarded in 2007 with a gold medal at "Mondial des Syrahs". Another outstanding wine is the "cuve prestige" Château La Rose Sarron 2003. Only 50 000 bottles are produced per year. It is a half Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Located in Graves supérieures and the ground is sablo-graveleux.


Literatka, Ul. Krkowskie Przedmiescie 87/89, Warsaw, Poland -- November 3, 2007: Very close to the old town (Stare Miasto), this traditional Polish restaurant will offer you a (not so traditional) charming and relaxing atmosphere. By not being on the main touristic axis, the service and food quality is guaranted to be excellent!


Pierogi swiata (Street: Nowy Swiat), Warsaw, Poland -- October 30, 2007: Located at the beginning of the old town, this tiny restaurant will make you discover a wide range of "pierogy". A pierogy is a kind of stuffed pasta close to the French and Italian ravioli. This traditional polish dish may be served as as a side or main dish. It can be also be served as a desert (could be stuffed with fresh blueberries for example).

Vargas, Montreal, Canada -- October 27, 2007: Montreal is well known for the quality of its restaurant. Vargas is a grill/suchi restaurant at the heart of this francophone city. Surrounded by skyscrapers, Vargas is surely a great place. Le menu du soir offers interesting experiment. The most notable one is a combination of fried peeled schrimps with a sauce made of orange and basilic. As in most restaurant in this side of the Altantic, the wine cart does not accurately describes its wine (e.g., vintage is not indicated). Try to not seat near the air-conditioner, you might find it chili. Acknowledgment to Air France for having sponsored my dinner. Strike have something positive time to time.


Pan Asia, Berlin, Germany -- 2007: To my opinion, opting for sushi is probably the most reliable food experience you can get in Germany. Pan Asia's sushis are einfach wunderbar. I have been more than 10 times in this restaurant without being disapointed not even once. The ambiant music get louder at around 10pm. You may want to not be located near the loud speakers.

Noodles, Berlin, Germany -- 2007: One of the cornerstone in the fantastic World of Sushis. People are friendly, atmosphere cosy, and sashimis excellent. You might want to go upstairs to enjoys a huge fish aquarium in the lobby of the RAS hotel.
